To be covered by this policy we assume:

You are resident in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and registered with a medical practitioner in the UK, Channel Islands or the isle of Man.
You are travelling from and returning to the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man.
You are not already travelling.
You do not have any medical condition that you are aware of for which you have not yet received or sought diagnosis.
You are not travelling with the intention of obtaining medical treatment, surgery or investigation.

What type of cover do you need?

Our travel insurance can offer cover for many pre-existing medical conditions. However, if you would like an alternative quote for your medical conditions or if we are unable to offer you a quote, you can access a directory of specialist medical travel insurers who may be able to provide you with cover. There is no cover for travel in to or through the following countries:

Lebanon, Syria, Syrian Arab republic, Iran, Iraq, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Sudan and Cuba.

Important: You will not be covered for any trips to a destination where the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) have advised against all travel or all but essential travel. We will continue to cover any medical claims because of COVID-19 if you are travelling to an area where no FCDO advise against travel exists.

Winter Sports

You won't be covered under this policy whilst taking part in Winter Sports unless you select this cover and the additional premium is paid. Winter sports insurance provides cover for emergency medical treatment caused by your participation in Winter Sport activities, the delay, loss, theft or damage to your ski equipment, cover for ski pack expenses, piste closure and avalanche closure.

If you purchase an annual multi-trip policy you are only covered for 17 days of Winter Sports activity during the insurance period.

Why do I need to tell you?

We may need to contact your doctor for details of your previous medical history in the event of an emergency medical claim. It is therefore important that you declare all pre-existing medical conditions to us for all travellers to have full protection of the policy.

Should you suffer any bodily illness, injury or disease we may refuse to deal with any claims or reduce the amount of any claims payments unless all pre-existing medical conditions have been declared to us and accepted by us in writing at the time of purchasing this policy.
